How to select high temperature wire specifications and models?
In terms of model specifications of high-temperature wires and cables, many people do not know
how to choose models and specifications when choosing high-temperature wires and cables, which brings some
trouble to customer service and customer communication. Today, I will explain to you how to correctly
choose the high temperature wire model specifications.
1. Selection of high temperature wires and cables models
When choosing the type and specification of the high temperature wire, the main purpose, application
environment and its characteristics should be considered;
For example, Teflon and silicone rubber high temperature wires can be selected according to different
applications.
According to different use environments, insulated cables, braided cables, etc. can be selected;
According to the requirements, non-extended combustion cables, flame-retardant cables, halogen-free
flame-retardant cables, fire-resistant cables, etc. can be selected.
2. Selection of high temperature wire specifications
When determining the use specifications (conductor cross-section) of high-temperature wires and cables, selection
conditions such as heating, voltage loss, economic current density, and mechanical strength should
be considered. According to experience, due to the large load current, the low-voltage power line usually
selects the section according to the heating situation, and then checks its voltage loss and mechanical strength.
Low-voltage lighting circuits have high requirements on voltage levels, so before checking heating
conditions and mechanical strength, the cross-section can be selected according to the allowable voltage
loss. For high-voltage wire, first select the section according to the economical current density, and then
check the heating conditions and allowable voltage loss; if it is a high-voltage overhead line, the mechanical
strength should also be checked.
